I am grateful every day for the reciprocal exchange that happens between students and teachers. This exchange inspires me to show up fully and generously each and every time I teach. What feels important to me? That students always have a choice, that the practice space is a playground for curiosity and courage, and that at the root, we are learning to be in kind-relationship with ourselves. Yoga and Pilates for me, are opportunities to arrive in the body just as it is, bearing witness to its ever-changing tides and building a courageous & compassionate relationship within, and in community. I’ve been guiding movement experiences for more than two decades and my style is described as creative, rhythmic, intelligent and full of spirit!

I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation classes, workshops, retreats, and TT’s for 24 years. These practices are opportunities for physical, psychological, and spiritual inquiry and they have taught me that the connection to myself and the ability to take the world around me into account are important life skills. And that offering mercy (and humour) is necessary, useful, and kind. I believe that I can make a difference by changing my world, one person at a time, starting with myself. I’m also inspired by the rich, collaborative process of mentoring—of working together to develop a teacher’s unique voice and fullest expression of potential. My passion is to develop personal and community practices based on accountability, gratitude, compassion, and resilience.

Hey I’m Brittany. Over the last year and a half, I dove into teaching Vinyasa and Restorative yoga after studying (over 500 hours of laughs and tears) with Pat, Scotty, Jen, Darcie, and other wise and hilarious mentors. Using their wealth of knowledge as a foundation, I like to weave in thoughtful breath with empowering movement while encouraging self-discovery throughout my classes.

Along with being a forever student of yoga, I have a passion for rock climbing. And for me, both are interconnected in a mutually beneficial way. Mindfulness, the body in flow, the stability of breath, the return to balance, the outer and inner ascent… whether cliff-side or mat-side, each practice is a journey to new heights! And I aspire to share that with you, learn with you, and most importantly have fun too!

“I completed my 200HR Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 with Octopus Garden and began teaching online. After a brief (1.5 year) pause in teaching and overcoming bouts of imposter syndrome, I am ready to Begin Again! I have deemed 2024 the Year of Facing Fear so therefore I am EXCITED to meet you all on the mat to explore poses and postures that challenge us, comfort us and confuse us.” Let's find the fun, laugh when we fall or fail, and lean into the present - together.”

Excited to be here to share the gift of Restorative Yoga. Since completing the 200HR YTT with Octopus Garden nearly 2 years ago, I’ve been exploring my own yoga practice and finding my truth as a yoga teacher, on and off the mat. I’ll forever love moving and flowing in a challenging yoga class, yet I’ve realized my true aspiration is to be of service at the deeper level of the nervous system – that tricky place that so often needs care, regulation and ease. I’m a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, generally keeping an approach to wellness uncomplicated and intuitive. I’m drawn to the wonder of nature and stillness... balanced with travel, adventure and I do love me a tasty tequila cocktail. Salud!
